Botel is a floating hotel, moored at the shore of the IJ-river in Amsterdam. The BOTEL-letters on top contain unique two-layer rooms, called Loftletters. For these rooms we designed and engineerd the “skin”. In order to achieve the smooth look and in order to meet the thermal insulation requirements, we composed the “skin” out of glass fibre composite filled with EPS (Expanded Polystyren).
